HOT LIPS

Silly and laughing
Till she saw him come by
Then there was that look
In her eyes

Sadness and joy
Rolled in one
A life of tears
Mixed in with sun

What had happened
Love gone astray
Forgot how he looked
Until that day

Smiling eyes
And a strong jaw
Filled with humor
She never wanted more

His step was quick
Long and wide
It was too late
She couldn’t hide

He grabbed her arm
And gave her a kiss
Said Hi Baby
You’ve been missed

Her eyes grew cold
No longer warm
She had trusted him
Yet he made her mourn

She mourned for a love
That he squandered
She mourned for the lips
That had wandered

She looked away
Hot tears dripped down
She looked so sad
And wore a frown

He hung his head
And tried so hard to explain
Nothing he could say
Would release the pain

He thought perhaps
She would forgive him
For all the lies
And the final sin

As she walked away
He turned around and glanced
Remembering how for him
Her eyes used to dance

Their love
Was once like a carousel
Until the day
He caused the hell

Always were they two lovebirds
Wrapped in an embrace
Fluttering hearts
That continually raced

He caused the pain
Looking at every skirt
Was a fool
A habitual flirt

Sadly he left
His head hung low
He was the fool
That he did know

He longed
For the taste of her Hot Lips
Like fire and heat
That would always be missed
