LOVE REBORN

He saw her in the garden
Sitting in the sun
It reminded him
Of when they were young

When love was playful
And love was so sweet
How she swept him
Off his feet

Memories came back
Of when love was a delight
When he was stay awake
To watch her sleeping at night

He remembered how their bodies
Would fit so perfectly
And they thought their life of love
Would always be

He still loved her
But their life was not the same
Their life was now so boring
And became so very tame

Walking over to her slowly
He stretched out his hand
And said very sweetly
“Can I have this dance Madam?”

She looked up eyes glowing
And took his invitation
In the grass they danced so freely
Without hesitation

Love seemed to bounce
Off the trees and the grass
And they both remembered
Love of the past

He told her very gently
“Let’s go back again
Where we were lovers
Not only friends”

Gently they made love
From dusk to dawn
In the garden
Where their love was reborn
