SPELLBOUND

Spellbound, when she looked in his eyes
Turning and twisting she didn’t realize
He had under his spell
She was his now he could tell

Spellbound…not knowing what to expect
She stood there watching..a nervous wreck
Would he lunge and grab her from the floor
Was it really what she thought she saw

Spellbound…he was looking in her eyes
Warning and threatening..not a surprise
She could swear she saw him smile
Very handsome..she admitted..in a scary style

Spellbound..he moved slowly
She thought he’s going to bite me
He slithered and slid across the floor
Looking at her once more

Spellbound…she did not know what to do
She was becoming hysterical from the view
He slid past her and slid out the door
The snake was happy to see her no more

Spellbound…she was in a state of shock
A snake slithering off her grandfather clock
And then just dismissing her as though she didn’t exist
Spellbound…that the snake didn’t kiss
