WAR

There is blood on the land
War and deprivation
The smell of death
And annihilation
One standing warrior
Hands to the sky
Asking the Creator
One question “Why?”
They wanted peace
The others wanted war
All for greed
Wanting more
Children killed
Women on their knees
They wouldn’t listen
As mothers would plead
For one moments kindness
For a child
To let them live
For they are mild
They burnt the land
To willowing ashes
For it’s wealth
In great caches
No one cared
About humanity
War so sad
No one could see
Leaders laughed
A regime torn down
The only ones hurt
Were the people found
Either dead
Or in huddling masses
Life finished
Life crashes
WAR
