REGRETS

Never having accepted love nor given love in return
Only bodily desires made his soul burn
His heart turned black as the blackest coal
With a soul of great sins to be told
One day the realization of all of his misery and sins
Caught up with the pathetic shell of him
His eyes cast down can look no one in the eye
No longer wants to live .. just wants to die
So many mistakes he cannot correct
He can no longer stand like a man erect
Walking among couples with so much care
He cannot look at them hand in hand anywhere
Hating everyone and filled with self-sorrow
He wishes he could bring back one day and borrow
A day from the past when the woman in his life
Just wanted his child and to be his wife
But he pushed her away cursing the day she was born
And she left his abode extremely forlorn
Never returned or would look in his face
Before she left she called him a disgrace
Years passed and his personality diminished even more
Now no one ever even knocks on his door
Alone and disheveled mistakes he cannot forget
He is a man with too many REGRETS
