Artist's Description

I was listening to the radio
Drinking a Rum & Coke
Laughing all alone
At how life is sometimes a joke

It passes too quickly
By the time we realize
What we want to do
Passed before our eyes

To me it’s funny
How we learn as we age
And when we are young
Life is a haze

No need to worry
About what the future holds
So free from problems
And so many woes

Then we age
A little at a time
And life changes
With no reason or rhyme

And here I sit
Listening to music so refined
Thinking of what I’m going to do
It’s really about time

I make excuses
I always digress
Waiting and waiting
To be a success

So I am sipping slowly
My Rum & Coke
Perhaps it is I
Who is really the joke
