Next Time You Want To Pull The String

A spark of curiosity
Fueled mother’s rage.
“The child should have known better,
for her age…”

After weeks of waiting
It finally came.
Then, all of a sudden,
excitement changed.
The purchased object
now broken.
Because our little girl
wanted to know
what would happen
when
she pulled
the string…

Now she wishes that there was no such thing
as curiousity.

My reply to the child:

“Curiosity is a good thing, remember this…
Next time you want to pull the string, ask your mom.”

In life one may not always have the option
to look before leaping; or, think before speaking.
When the option is there, ’tis usually best to take it.
