As the Universe

Sometimes I don’t know how to react.
I admit that I don’t know the full story.
Your words, at first,
seem aloof.

My intent is not to add to your pain
or crystalize the the ice I first saw running
through you veins.

What I find now is that
my perception is wrong.
The ice has melted;
hard feelings, gone.

We are mortal beings.
Each one with our own faults.

In this virtual world
souls reaching out.

Testing the electronic waters;
seeking others who recognize,
we exist.

In the midst of chaos,
I wonder what it means
to have found you…
I know, there is a reason.

As our universe unfolds,
I await the answer.
