Artist's Description

At the end of the coldest summer for 18 years in England, the heavens opened and the always-flood-prone meadows just outside Sopley (nr Christchurch, Dorset) filled with water. I was by no means the only photographer there over a couple of days, but I think most of the others were focussing on the birds that were attracted to the large area of fresh water.

Camera: Canon Powershot SX30 IS with 35X zoom lens, focal length 4.3 – 150.5mm (24mm – 840mm 35mm film equivalent).
Panorama created in Photoshop Elements 6 from three separate images.
