Spring Daze & Pet Rescue

This morning I volunteered to run the Spring Daze booth for Cary Photographic Artists, the photography club I belong to. (Spring Daze is a local arts and crafts festival.) It was a lot of fun! Lots of people seemed really interested in the club! Quite a few people signed up for the mailing list! It was a lot of fun! I got to hang out and talk to other photographers.

I also brought along a handful of cameras! I brought my Nikon D50 (which has been converted to infrared as well as my Accoutrements Pop Cam, Lomo Fisheye, Holga 120N and both of my Diana F+ clones. I also brought my Sony point and shoot but didn’t end up using it.

I’ve also got a new photo volunteer gig going on! I am the Pet Promotion Specialist for Carolina Pet Rescue. That basically means I photograph the animals that come into the rescue and put them up on Petfinder! They are a small animal rescue that mostly takes in rodents, reptiles, rabbits, ferrets, birds, etc. I’m really enjoying it! And hopefully my photos will help get these animals adopted!
