The Yorkshire Dales attract people from all over the world – and no wonder!
This is a spot near Kettlewell. We set off to walk to Hag’s Dyke – 2 miles away on a public footpath.
Trouble was neither Merice or myself really knew what Hag’s Duke was – I think we were expecting to see some sort of Viking dwelling!
However the dyke turned out to be the ditch itself.
So thanks to Hag(!) for giving me this wonderful subject to paint.
This watercolour was painted on Saunders Waterford 140lb NOT with Winsor & Newton artists paints.
