Artist's Description

Strensall Common is one of the remaining vestiges of the once great Galtres Forest which covered a vast area between York and Northumberland. It belonged to the King and was used for hunting. There was a bit of common land for us peasants on the edges and this has remained so to this day. Whatever the weather and whatever the season it is a wonderful place for a painter.
This is an iPad painting.
