Artist's Description

Troutsdale has been a wonderful source of inspiration for me. I have painted many scenes from this special place. This is the view looking back from the Cockmoor Hall car park. I like the simplicity of the scene and yet it contains every icon that makes the North Yorks Moors so recognisable – big sky, sheep, distant vista and dry stone wall – all neatly contained.
This 18″ × 14″ watercolour was painted on Saunders Waterford 140lb CP paper with Winsor and Newton artists paints and is dedicated to the hard working men and women who make the North Yorks Moors national Park such a treasure.
