Yellow Golden Dreams A song I wrote 9/9/92

Detecting I will go wherever there is gold
To see if I can find that golden dream
Out where years ago the miners used to roam
To try and forfill their life long dreams
………………………
chorus:
The fever that we share with the men so long ago
When they battled through the searing heat and dust
We travel in our cars with caravans behind
Not like they did all those years ago
…………………………
With swags upon their backs and where there were no tracks
They tramped through the rugged desert fringe
With no water much around they covered lots of ground
Searching for that elusive dream
…………………………
chorus
…………………….
We travel with our fridges and freezers full of food
And still complain about the way it is
We’ll never be as tough and never have enough
Of all the comforts of home
……………………
chorus
