Artist's Description

MacKenzie Falls is one of those oft photographed, calendar favorites and is one of Victoria’s most visited and photographed waterfalls. I have visited it many times but this is the first time with my pro gear so nice to get a quality shot of it.

Although I could fit this composition in one frame with a wide angle lens, in this case I decided to do it as a stitch of five images with my RRS pano head. This will allow me to create a massive 120×45cm print with no extrapolation if I want too, so needless to say the detail and quality is incredible.

MacKenzie Falls are said to be the largest (not highest) falls in Victoria being very wide and 40m high. Certainly the biggest one I’ve seen although the Spillway at Maroondah dam would come close but being man made they probably don’t count hey.
