On a horrible overcast and rainy day at Tin Can Bay on Queensland Coast, I found this little boat which just caught my eye. This was my first attempt at HDR and my brand new Sigma 10-20mm lens, 3 shots, 1 stop apart taken with Nikon D90 processed with Photomatix.
I lost my car keys on the sand shortly after taking this shot… the rain started falling and my phone was in the car. No-one knew where I was, and I was over 3 hours from home. But how can I not be happy with the results :)

You should’nt call ‘horrible’ a day with such a wonderful light :-)) Excellent work, great POW and processing. The patterns on the sand add a lot to this beautiful picture.

Beautiful!!
Hey buddy… so cool to see you hear :)
Oh this is some beautiful work! Love the b&w HDR processing, and how that brings out the repeating patterns in both the sand and the clouds! Really powerful point of focus in the boat. Awesome work!
Wow.. thanks Murph.. that is very sweet of you to say :)
