Artist's Description

Desert landscape sloping all the way to the sea, these penguins have adapted to their environment by burrowing into the ground for their nests, which the males defend vigorously, many times drawing blood in their encounters. Their ‘nests’ stretch for upto 2 km from the shore. They travel daily to the sea for food leaving their nest unattended to various predators.
