Artist's Description

This is my abstract painting inspired by the events in Libya in August 2011.

Throughout History there as always been a moment of peace and calm before an ensuing conflict., a moment of quiet anticipation, a stillness before the outbreak of dispute from civil dispute to armed conflict or war.

This painting represents my take on that moment, a moment where we all know that what is going to happen will affect everything.

It also represents the aim to return to peace, a peace which may never look or feel the same but peace none the less.

It is a hopeful painting, one that celebrates the beauty of what mankind can achieve or sustain, it is also a message.

Thank you.
