"Lone Wolf"

‘Lone Wolf’

The lone wolf howls; at the moon and the stars;
Expressing through such, the tears and the scars.
Glistening fangs, are but his teeth:
The shimmering claws, to find what’s beneath.

Misunderstood, how he howls alone!
To pay for sin, for what to atone?
The glistening fangs, are such so to eat:
Shimmering claws, he won’t succomb to defeat.

The mist, is always fleeting; but wolf is always there:
Exposing not his weakness, the fact that he does care.
Indeed, the fangs and claws, that do scare some away;
Are the very attributes, of strength that make some stay.

The wolf he doth move onward, in pain and sorrow true:
And howls out his loneliness, for what else can He do?
Misunderstood, with shattered heart; from depth there is a cry!
The howl, the teeth, the shining claws; He’s merely getting by!
