Artist's Description

Broughton St Mary’s Parish Church and its tall cupola stands on Bellevue Crescent in the New Town area of Edinburgh, Scotland.

Built in 1824 to a design by Thomas Brown, the church was originally known as Bellevue Church, then as St Mary’s Parish Church, taking its present name upon union with Broughton Macdonald Church.

Broughton St Mary’s Church is a Category A Listed Building (HB Number 27461).

The Old and New Towns of Edinburgh are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
