It hardly ever snows in Edinburgh anymore, not like when I was a boy. I remember 3 or 4 foot falls of snow overnight.
We still get snow, but it never lasts and it rarely gets deep. It did snow today (Tuesday 6th January 08) at about 2 pm. It lasted all of 5 minutes, but the snowflakes were huge, some about 2 inches across. I took this shot from the window of my office in Edinburgh, Scotland.
I cropped the shot to get rid of the unsightly air conditioning units on the roof of the Radio Forth building next door.
This shot was taken with my new point and shoot camera, a Canon Digital IXUS 980 IS.
