Artist's Description

The world’s largest equine sculptures, The Kelpies, are located beside the Forth and Clyde Canal, just before it enters the River Carron, between the towns of Falkirk and Grangemouth.

The Kelpies are part of The Helix, a land transformation project in Falkirk District, Scotland.

A Kelpie is the Lowland Scottish name for a mythical water creature, often appearing as a horse although it is said to be able to take human form.
