Daydreaming

Laying across the bed on her stomach, looking out of the window, it’s a nice day. Clenching the pillow underneath her chin, she closes her eyes and instantly goes into a serene place. A place where there’s just the two of them.

The grass is green, you can smell the outdoors. In the short distance off you can see gnats hosting around a fresh bloom. Birds chirping, laughter of children in the background, cars passing by with the music echoing out. It’s Spring. People walking by are engaged in conversations, others passing by smile and nod hello, everything is perfect. There’s a feeling of a recognizable peace in her atmosphere. The air outside is clean and crisp, the slight breeze gently rummages through her tresses, the movement her her body allows the sun to kiss the nape of her neck as she walks closer to his door.

She’s excited, her hands are slightly clammy. She softly knocks on the door. Her heart begins to flutter the moment her skin touches the door, she steps back. She can hear something, she becomes enveloped in the rhythm of the footsteps, they are familiar, familiar like a favorite song that hasn’t been heard in while, she smiles.

The rhythm of the steps become louder, her heart begins to pound. She quivers, softly bites her bottom lip as she attempts to maintain her composure because she can feel him getting closer. “It’s me” she responds softly to the voice behind the door. She wanted to sound confident, but she’s scared, scared of the unknown. She fears the very thing she wants the most, him.

She looks down, the door knob is turning she takes a deep breath, the door opens and their eyes meet. Eyes, eyes that meet and lock. The eyes are looking at one another and so much is being said without the movement of tongues or lips. Her eyes were like those of a young child, so sincere, and his were those of a kind soul, understanding and forgiving.

As they stood there, they drifted, to a place where only they mattered and existed. “It’s so good to see you” he said, she leans into him and gives him a hug. When they touch it’s magnetic. Captivating like a strong force…like hearing iron clink. The side of her face fits perfectly into the valley of his chest. He places his chin in the top of his head, The essence from her bosom, was oh so familiar. He gently squeezed her, she was so soft and delicate.

Before they would become engaged in an erotic moment, that was brewing from the simple hug, he gently kissed her forehead, grabbed both of her hands and backed away slowly.

“It’s been a long time Ms. Farrington” he said, “Yes it has Mr. Bryant, yes it has”, she replied….
