Artist's Description

I went out looking for something “Naked” today for The Challenge Café challenge number 7. I found this dying Cholla Cactus, also known as a jumping cactus. I like this one because it shows the decay leading to the famous Cholla skeleton. This poor cactus is naked of all its protection as well as its green membrane needed for photosynthesis. It is doomed!

With that said, I just liked the blue and the sharp Barrel cactus needles next to it!
