Artist's Description

Melbourne has been described as Sydney’s ugly sister. To be sure, it doesn’t have the million dollar, picture perfect views that make it obviously beautiful. However an hour’s walk around the city will have you discovering more subtler forms of beauty. New sculptures are continuing to mark the landscape with thought provoking and often whimsical images.
Take for instance the refurbishment of Sandridge Bridge. In 2005 it was announced that artist Nadim Karam had been commissioned to create ten abstract sculptures in a piece titled The Travellers, which represents the different types of immigrants who traditionally arrived by train over the bridge from Station Pier.
Buying this image brings a little piece of the world into your home.
