Artist's Description

As I chased around dragonflies near our ponds, this little garter snake surprised me, hanging about in the lily leaves. As we approach the Autumnal Equinox on Tuesday, the snake reminded me of the healing power of the West/Fall manifesting through shedding its skin. A snake does not remove one skin, then vulnerably search out another. The new, pure skin grows beneath the old. What is released is outgrown and useless. If it were not released, it would impair the healthy functioning of the new skin.
The future offers the opportunity for purity and healing through the shedding of skin, as long as you don’t let your new skin grow back to resemble the old…

I have been working on the newest installment of Mind Soundtracks for EarthMonster Illustrated and harvesting a bounty of heARTworks found here on RB from my colleagues and the subject matter is along these same lines of releasing the old for new and better change. Hope you check it out for October release and even better, maybe join the group here too – EMI
