Artist's Description

Photo is As is and shot at the Northwest Trek Rehabilitation Center and park

The three faces of Owl –
The wisest of the Bird Clan awakening to honor Grandfather Sun
then sleeping while Mother Nature unleashes her wonderous glory
upon unseeing eyes and broken promises,
from the gray matter, we humans call truth.
Awakening once more to honor Grandmother Moon
and discover the darkness is only feared by those
afraid of their Self…

TK Rosevear (WindOwl) 1994

To the Cherokee, the Owl was held sacred with the Cougar, for their ability to see in the dark. They were the bringers of messages at night through dreams. Other Native American tribes called the Owl, the night Eagle or Chief of the Night, holding the wisdom for positive change.
