The Language of Heartbreak

His warm eyes are now cold,
Those clothes torn and tattered.
He somehow looks so old,
Now that his heart has been shattered.
The words he once used,
Will never again be spoken.
His love for her gone,
Now that his heart has been broken.
Confused thoughts in his mind,
And flooding emotions get tangled.
He sees no logic in life,
Now that his heart has been mangled.
The memories of shared moments,
In his mind are now embedded.
But he cannot stop picturing them,
Now that his heart has been shredded,
The salty drops of rain fall,
From his eyes so disappointed.
Unable to stop the flow,
Now that his heart has been disjointed.
Running now from his friends,
He never wanted to be criticized.
But how can he stand up,
Now that his heart has been pulverized.
