Artist's Description

The Hackpen Hill white horse is a chalk hill figure located below The Ridgeway on the edge of the Marlborough Downs, near Marlborough, Wiltshire. It is generally believed that the horse was cut in 1838 by Henry Eatwell, a parish clerk of nearby Broad Hinton to commemorate the coronation of Queen Victoria
