Artist's Description

Photography freezes a split second of our lives capturing us in a way we will never see again and in fact unless we use mirrors in a way we have never seen at all.

This is an allegorical shot, three identical views of the same face placed around the canvas to suggest the ticking of a clock and the sweep of the second hand.

There is deliberately no focal point to this picture, your eyes might wander around the frame trying to find a sweet spot, there isn’t one, so I won’t be offended if you find this image is uncomfortable to look at, it’s supposed to work like that.

In reality there’s no such thing as a constant image, evey millisecond we put on a different face to the crowd, that’s why this picture is so untrue to the sweep of time and so faithful to the moment the shutter opened.
