I’m working on a really big photo project, to take thousands of pictures in my garden over as many years as I can. This will document the changes in both the seasons and the way the place develops over time.
Every month I record images from the garden (and there’s a lot of it). Heck in a few years time it’ll be a great archive about global warming, the buddlea has flowered two weeks early already
This is a shot of a field maple leaf on an old blue bench in my “Moon Garden” a spot which is built around the foundations of an old cottage, with a brass crescent moon swinging lazily in the trees. Photographically it’s a found object, emotionally it’s the end of barbecues and beers in the great out doors as the sun leaves this part of the Garden from October to March.
