Artist's Description

Whilst the Fair is there to show off prize Lusitano horses and for people to parade in their Sunday best there is a darker side. Gypsies sell older animals and horses in poor condition and stand in stark contrast to the other animals being ridden around La Manga (parade ring in town square). Although condemned by many for the treatment and condition of their animals, its plain that these people are extremely poor-a bundle of rags held by a woman in their group, turned out to be very tiny twin babies.
I love this shot for some reason-it was also one of my last trips using film before turning to the dark side of digital!
