When we moved to Western North Carolina, we were thrilled to find a beautiful dairy farm, complete with an old farmhouse where we could buy fresh cheese and yogurt and watch the cows as we drove by each day. Sadly, the property and cows were sold and this lovely old house was torn down for a golf-course! I took this picture the day before the house was torn down and added a sunset photo of mine as a texture to give it a soft and rather nostalgic look using PhotoShop. We miss this beautiful dairy, but remember it each time we drive along the country road where it once stood. Interesting note: the family graveyard is still there, maintained and surrounded by a white picket fence! Taken near Etowah, North Carolina with a Panasonic Lumix compact camera.
