This is a cow pasture after flooding in Western North Carolina in September, 2009. You can see the fences just above the water. I took this the morning of September 21 and we’ve had even more flooding since then. The misty mountains in the background and reflections really grabbed my eye. Taken with a Panasonic Lumix compact camera.

brilliant cheers
Thank you so much, Scott! It sure is wet here!
Great reflections, Tibby! But I do hope your home or property is not in the flooded areas!
Thank you so much, Pat. We are very close to some flooded areas, but safe!
I heard about the flooding on the news. Six people are dead. My sister works in Atlanta and barely got home today. Great picture. Stay safe. xo
Thanks, Lori. I hope your sister is doing ok. It has been really awful with the flooding, especially in Georgia. I hope the rain soon stops.
Beautiful picture you have captured the feel of the day beautifully the mist adds to it completly
Thank you so much, Karen! The rainy, misty day was great for pics!
Thank you so much, Kathy!
wonderfully composed and almost a painterly feel – love the reflections and colous
:)
Thank you so much! It’s so unusual to have such flooding in our area, but nice to have a chance for picture taking!
great shot
Thank you!
Hope they can swim. Another good one.
Thanks so much!! The poor horses, goats and cows were really on high ground to stay out of the water!
beautiful, beautiful image, sweetie … but … I hope you and your home and your loved ones are safe???
Thank you so much, sweet Lois!! I appreciate your concern so much. It really has been strange with days of rain, flooding all through Western North Carolina and other Southeastern states. We are fine – on high ground, but I feel so sorry for others who have lost so much, especially down in Georgia.
super capture!!
Thank you, Angie!
