If you played in the marching band you know John Philip Sousa (November 6, 1854 – March 6, 1932)! He was an American composer and conductor of the late Romantic era known for American military and patriotic marches and is known as "The March King" (or, at least, the "American March King" due to the nickname also being given to British composer, Kenneth J.
