Artist's Description

We took a 2 week wild camping trip in Iceland during the summer, which meant the sun never set, and we were blessed with an extremely long ‘Golden Hour.’ This shot was captured around 3am at Joksularon Lagoon, as we watched the massive glacier break off in to pieces and lazily float down the river. We followed the river down to black sandy beach where the pieces of glacier were washing ashore. I hopped on one of the massive ice chunks in between waves and did the best to hold my balance while we snapped the pic. We definitely got soaked in the icy waters of the North Atlantic.
