Red Broom - First Sale

WOOOOOWOOOOOOWOOOOOWOOOW – I am jumping up and down with joy, and that is a bit difficult for a 63 year old with arthritis LOL :):):):)

Thankyou to whoever bought my card it is a real high and I’m really chuffed.

peter and his girls

Pete always called his dogs “his girls”. He brought Jet (the mum) home when she was just five weeks old and from the moment she arrived we all fell in love with her.
She followed “her dad” everywhere and was so obedient it was amazing.

Six years later she got out and had an asignation with a rather dashing labrador, the result of this meeting being her daughter soxy. What a gorgeous pup she was.
She didn’t really need training as she copied her mum most of the time and she too followed Peter like a shadow.

I’m writing this to show how strong a bond can be which I think you can see in the picture of the girls, taken after Peter passed away.

I’m also writing this to say thankyou to everyone who commented on my poem and wished me well. Regards to all, Pat (aka) theoldone.

Fighting a losing battle

In January gone I managed to stop smoking. Hooray you might say, but now I’m having a battle with my weight. I go to the gym 3 times a week, I walk everywhere because I don’t drive and I try to watch what I eat. All to no avail I’m afraid. Has anyone any suggestions I’m willing to try anything. There is no way I would let any photos be taken of me but I do spend a lot of time bubbling, could this be my problem?

The Last of a Generation

On Tuesday 23rd of October my family and I said goodbye to the last member of a generation. She was our last Aunty and such a lovely person throughout her life. It actually turned out to be quite a celebration with all of her nephews and nieces recalling their own memories and stories of Aunty Doris. She had reached the age of 85 and had her battles with ill health but she was an inspiration to us all.
I hope she has met up with her husband again and they are sharing their love once more

I'm Having Great Fun

Although I haven’t been a Bubbler for long I am thoroughly enjoying myself.
I have only had my little camera for 10 months and i have really learned a lot over that time.
