Once I was pretty

Once I was pretty,
And skinny,
and flirty.
Now I am fat,
And lazy,
And dirty.
Can’t make an effort,
My hair is a mess,
My clothes are in tatters,
And in need of a press.
I don’t feel attractive,
My twinkle has gone,
And so I will spend,
My life all alone.
I don’t put on make-up,
My hair in a bun,
Simple and safe,
The life of a nun.
No drinking,
No smoking,
No sex, if you please.
No swearing,
No flirting,
No! Don’t even tease.

Once I was pretty
