Artist's Description

The Fool Card from the Isidore Tarot:

The Fool represents a spirit in search of experience or a person moving through life. He’s often represented as a beggar or a vagabond, but in this deck he’s the clown, with the circus he’s setting off from behind him. In place of his stick pack he’s holding a more modern, tattered suitcase. His foot is stepped off the edge of the card’s main window as though he’s at the edge of a cliff. He’s accompanied by a sphinxlike companion who may be trying to point him away from the cliff or foolish decisions that come from having your head in the clouds. When encountered in a reading he can represent a person who is moving forward naively, without care for what is to come. When reversed the Fool can suggest a far more reckless behavior or even a wakeup call to finally stop playing the fool.
