Power & Equality depicts an African American woman from the 60’s. The recurring peace signs, the woman’s Afro and her psychedelic earrings represent the time period. The woman has her head tilted up to the sky with her eyes raised looking up. Her neck and Afro are entirely blacked out. At the bottom is a red banner with the words Power & Equality in black capitals. At the four corners above the banner are red geometric designs that resemble flowers in petal like shapes. The flower centres all have a peace sign inside of them. These designs are recognisable to the hippie era. Text printed in between the four corner designs reads “Power to the People”.
