The End

The stars are falling on our upturned faces
And the night lasts forever.
Roses are winding around all the statues
The wild reclaiming all.
Our dreams are fulfilled
In this end of eternity
Our searching finally over.
The perfect world, in darkness left behind
Is our home forever more.
The gardens overtake the city again
The stars hang in the air.
Running through the crumbling hopes
Our smiles bright in the gloom.
Our wings spread
And we take off
Loving this moment of the end.
We ignore all else
And fly to our garden
Waiting for the world to be reclaimed.
Once it’s ours,
We’re finally free
From everyone elses fate.
The night belongs to us
Our wings never to be hidden again
And we can fly free at last.

The End
