Premonition

The flood of tears
Fill my eyes
My world is crashing down.
Light that once filed the world
Starts to fade
My vision is going dark.
Feathers fall all around
My broken wings try to fold
Holding on seems useless
So I start to lose my grip.
A tiny glimmer of hope
Shines in the distance
But the miles seem too great
And the world starts to unravle.
Fading fast
I scream his name
And hold onto his face.
I let go of the cliff’s edge
And pray for his embrace.
