Artist's Description

A personal piece I made over the past year as I’ve struggled with my own chronic illness/disabilities.

I know this doesn’t cover the scope of disabilities in the world. The intent was to show some of the more common invisible illnesses/disabilities that are so often dismissed by society.

The human body is made of many, many different parts—each one susceptible to disfunction or failure. Some people need mobility aids 24/7, some don’t. Just because someone “seems” able-bodied means nothing (unless you happen to be an x-ray psychic)!
