Artist's Description

Continuing on our boat trip from Lerwick, Shetland’s capital, to the Isle of Noss, here are the main cliffs at Noss Head which soar about 350’ out of the North Sea and house countless seabirds and gannets in particular.
Almost all the white dots on the cliffs and in the sea are gannets with their 6’ wing span – thousands of them. The rest of the white on the cliffs is the inevitable result of high-rise living and a fishy diet!
Of course a photograph can’t do a scene like this any justice and still less when viewed as a 5" picture on the screen but it is added for some sort of context and scale.
Thanks for looking
Richard
