As Children in the snow

The snow is falling silently…. its deep now I’m sure

I love fresh snow so crisp, so white and of course so pure
I love the way It crunches under your feet
and how everyone walks like robots down the street

I’ll make snowballs and throw them at whoever will pass
but I have to be careful not to break any glass
We’ll play on our sledges down the steep hill
and the fact that we don’t hurt ourselves is only God’s will

Now were cold and wet right through
our Mum’s will be warning us about catching the flu

So it’s time to head home and dry by the fire
Telling our stories, adventures and our close shave with barbed wire

We’ll forget about our fingers so cold they’re in pain
and when our trousers dry….we’ll do it all again
