Dedicated to Thomas Condon and the James Cant family. They were the first to work toward making the 3 units of the John Day Fossil the National Monument it is today! Their efforts, beginning in the late 1800’s, started the movement to ensure the Painted Hills will be preserved for generations to come.

Went back to the hills at around 7 in the evening and the hills had come alive, even though it was so blissfully quiet you could have heard a pin drop!
