Take my hand

Take my hand and we’ll wonder through fields of gold,

Together.

We’ll dream of days gone by when people

Valued people.

When the sun was brighter than it is today,
and the smog was thinner.

When the laughs were louder than they are today,
and the wailing dimmer.

When one hand could clutch another while they kissed the day goodbye,
And while smiling at the memories,
Watched the cool grey shadows of the night,
Go slowly creeping by.

Take my hand
