What can I say?

What can I say,
To make you understand,
I can’t let you kiss me,
Or let you hold my hand,
Many things have happened,
To make me feel this way,
But what can I tell you?
What can I say?

I do not mean to hurt you,
By turning you away,
But I have to love myself,
So best you stay away,
I can not think of others,
While my heart, it is still broke,
So don’t try to love me,
Not even in a joke.

My heart is full of sadness,
And memories so bad,
I could not even start to tell,
About the life I’ve had.
I have to make a journey,
To find a way to go,
You can join me on the journey,
But the pace is rather slow.

My heart it is so heavy,
I wish that I could find,
A place for it to flourish,
And a little peace of mind.
But as soon as I feel well again,
There is a line of men,
I have a bad reaction,
And it all begins again.

So listen to my story,
And let me have some space,
Don’t try to rush my journey,
There only is one pace.
And if you join me on that road,
I may soften up in time,
But don’t expect my loving,
Don’t expect to call me, Thine.

What can I say?
