Dancing in the moonlight

Dancing In the Moonlight

You come upon her,
In a clearing lit but with the silvery, ethereal light
Of the moon and the stars,
Ever dancing in the moonlight.

With the grace of the swan she twirls and she leaps,
And as fleet of foot as a deer she is.
The image of beauty shall she always be,
Ever dancing in the moonlight.
You dare not speak for fear

Of ending the silent music only she can hear.
So you watch in silence as the ages of the world pass by, unable to take your eyes away from her,
Ever dancing in the moonlight.

Then you step forward,
Of a will that is not entirely your own,
And she turns towards you,
Ever dancing in the Moonlight.

She offers you her hand,
Silently asking you to join her in eternal dance,
And you take it.
Now forever shall you be dancing in the moonlight, to the music you too can now hear.
