Powerhouse Youth Theatre (PYT), Western Sydney’s leading youth theatre company, is on the hunt for new staff.

PYT has a new part time project officer position open for applications, and is also looking for tutors across artforms to facilitate workshops with the company in Western Sydney.

POWER UP! Youth Engagement Officer

PYT is seeking an experienced, motivated and dynamic Performing Arts Practitioner to lead POWER UP, a 12 month performance project with High Schools across Fairfield, Liverpool and Bankstown.

This position suits someone who can work independently as well as in a team; enjoys the challenge of creating new work with young people; and is passionate about creating new creative opportunities for the young people of Western Sydney.

PYT seeks expressions of interest from experienced creative and committed tutors to be placed on a register of casual and on-call tutors for its Workshop Program in 2009.

PYT’s program of workshops in 2009 will be held during the School Holidays and will range from 3 -5 day programs. PYT is interested in hearing from people with more specialised skills who might want to be placed on this register.

PYT offers above award rates for our workshop tutors, and provide a comfortable and safe working environment for all PYT employees.

PYT is now accepting applications for interviews. Please send through your CV (include teaching experience, training and relevant professional credits), with a cover letter detailing what age groups you would be interested in teaching and why and what you can offer our young people.
